Connecting from Windows
Windows XP
- From My Computer open "My Network Places"
- Select "Add Network Place" and click Next
Wait for Windows to load information
- Select "Choose another network location" and click Next
- Enter in iFiles IP address and click Next
Example: http://10.0.1.100:8080
You can find out the correct address by tapping Wi-Fi Status Icon
or going to settings
Depending on the options you have specified in iFiles,
your computer may ask for a username and password. Enter it if necessary.
- Enter a name for this connection and click Finish
Tip. In future, assuming the Device's IP address has not changed, you can quickly connect by opening "My Network Places" and double-clicking the network location you just created.
Vista or Windows 7
- Open Computer from the Start Menu
- Click on the "Map Network Drive" toolbar button
- Enter in iFiles IP address into the Folder field
